Biography
Ritu Pancholy, Esq. is the founder of Ritu Pancholy Attorney at Law, a boutique employment law practice dedicated to helping employees navigate workplace challenges with confidence and clarity. Ritu represents individuals in matters involving severance negotiations, workplace investigations, and employment-related claims.
With over 20 years of experience as an employment attorney—serving in government, in-house, and now in private practice—Ritu brings a balanced and strategic perspective to each matter. Her background on both sides of the employment relationship gives her clients an invaluable edge: she understands how employers think, negotiate, and make decisions. This allows her to advocate effectively and collaboratively, helping clients reach fair outcomes while preserving professional relationships whenever possible.
Before founding Pancholy Law, Ritu served as Global Employment Counsel at Dun & Bradstreet, Inc., where she managed employment, compliance, and litigation matters worldwide for a 5,000-person public company. She also oversaw global workplace investigations, advised on performance management and policy issues, and championed diversity and inclusion initiatives.
Earlier in her career, Ritu worked as an attorney at the New York City Department of Education, handling investigations and defending the agency before the EEOC and other state and federal bodies. She began her legal career at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP in New York City.
Ritu is a graduate of Duke Law School and earned her undergraduate degree from Rutgers University. She has also served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Seton Hall University, where she taught Conducting Internal Investigations.
Ritu is deeply committed to helping employees understand their rights and make informed decisions during times of change. She believes that every person deserves to be treated with fairness and respect at work—and that a well-informed employee is an empowered one.
